Animal continues to garner media attention due to its box office receipts and the divisive responses it continues to receive on social media. The extremely violent gangster thriller, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The movie’s antagonist Abrar is portrayed by Bobby Deol. The ensemble cast is receiving a great deal of support from the audience, in addition to the movie’s key stars who received a great deal of attention on social media. Among them is Mansi Taxak, who in the film plays Abrar’s third wife. She debuted in Bollywood with Pathaan earlier this year.

Mansi Taxak explains the scene involving the marital rape in Animal, claiming Bobby Deol’s character Abrar was unable to rationalize: “There was no intention to attack.”
Mansi Taxak was questioned about Animal’s viral wedding scene, which has become a social media talking point and left viewers feeling both uneasy and confused, during an interview. The scene changes dramatically as Abrar learns of his brother’s passing while he is dancing at his wedding. He loses his temper and murders the messenger. The youngest of the three wives, who he had recently married, is then attacked by him. After that, he motions for his other two wives to enter the bedroom with him, which sparks more abuse.

Regarding the scene, Mansi told Zoom Entertainment, “It is shocking, of course.” That’s not how anyone anticipates their wedding to go. When the wedding sequence begins, the lighting and artistic rendering are stunning. You hear the song that has become extremely popular on Instagram. It was about to come to a lovely conclusion when all of this happened out of nowhere. The message was to warn the audience that an animal was on the way; if you thought Ranbir was like this, you can anticipate the antagonist being (worse). It was a fitting method to introduce Bobby Sir and demonstrate to the audience the kind of genuine animal we are discussing. She went on to say, “I would not wish that to happen at my wedding ever!”
She added, “It tells the backstory that they do love each other despite their differences in age or careers.” They are getting married for that reason. Although I understand people’s perspectives, that was not the intended outcome. Just that on his wedding day, Abrar (played by Bobby) wasn’t prepared to hear the news of his brother’s passing. The character enters a state of disorientation as a result. The instincts of animals are erratic. He confides in his wife to let out his feelings. There was no intention of attacking. When I was reading the script or on set, I didn’t even feel it. It was only about their relationship, which developed as it did as a result of the circumstances they were in.
Speaking about the divisive responses to Animal, particularly in regards to how women are portrayed, she went on, “Animal is just a mirror to society.” It makes visible what is real. We are encouraged to strike up a conversation by films such as these. It is imperative that we purge society of this mentality. It enables individuals to begin discussing these societal issues, form opinions, and present their point of view.
